Gersi, located at 316 Court St in Brooklyn, emerges as a gem in the vast expanse of Italian cuisine. Patrons rave about its cozy atmosphere and authentic offerings, making it a delightful spot for both locals and visitors. According to Elisa T, even a late-night visit after therapy proved to be a culinary success, thanks to their homemade pasta that captures the heart of center-north Italian cooking.
Reviewers consistently highlight the quality of the dishes, with Sisouk calling out the oversized Mozzarella di Buffala and the exquisite Black Ink Squid pasta. The attentive staff, particularly bartender Louis, adds a personal touch with cocktails like the house-made warm cider, enhancing the overall dining experience. Each dish, from clam linguine to octopus carpaccio, is crafted with care, offering great value for the portion sizes, as noted by Natalie Escobar.
John Coulson echoes this sentiment, praising the lemon pasta as potentially the best he’s ever had. Meanwhile, the brunch crowd appreciates diverse sharing options, with standouts like French toast and kale salad. Gersi isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a welcoming experience, making it a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Italian flavors in a charming setting.

Went to this place after going to floating therapy at 9:30 pm and it was the best choice. As an Italian myself, I can guarantee you that the menu is def typical center-north cuisine. The home-made pasta was delicious at the atmosphere was relaxing (maybe also because it was late) 100% recommended.

What a wonderful place. From the moment I stepped in, they immediately made me feel welcomed. It was exactly a place I was looking for. Somewhere welcoming. Woth excellent food. Louis, the bartender, was next level. This place was a wonderful treat... Starters - Mozzarella di Buffala (way bigger than thought) Drink - house made warm cider with bourbon and lemon Entree - Black Ink Squid pasta with Calamari Drink - Ruby Margarita - pomegranate w orange liquor Complimentary Expresso martini from Louis the bartender. Awesome bartender. Finished off with a most perfect Tiramisu and cappuccino, exactly the way I love it. Can't do that lady finger cracker version that version is not for me.

We had an amazing dinner at Gersi BKL. We ordered kalespinach gnocchi, clam linguine, octopus carpaccio, and trout with sauteed veggies. The food was just amazing and great portion for the price. My baby loved the gnocchi. Bread and cannellini were on the house. The staff were also very attentive and kid-friendly. The place itself is so cute as well. Will come back for other dishes because they all look so delicious. Thank you Gersi.

Made the trek to Brooklyn for some very good, reasonably priced Italian food. The pasta was fresh and wonderful. The lemon pasta dish might have been some of the best pasta I've ever tasted. The vibe is really cool and laid-back. This is a casual place that is well worth the visit.

I really enjoyed brunch here. So many options. Dishes that are great for sharing. We shared everything (5 people). I enjoyed the French toast, polenta and kale salad the most. But everything was great. Looking forward to going back.

Sat in the backyard patio for brunch. Loved the bellini and French toast! Thought the Milanese sandwich was ok it could’ve used a sauce. The mixed salad was really ehh. Overall enjoyed!

Delicious food, consistently good, and the staff is very friendly. What prompted me to a write a review is the thoughtful takeout order. It felt really good when I opened the bag at home and I saw that they included their delicious bread and white beans. The small things matter! The brunch menu is quite extensive and has way more than eggs and toast. I'm always pleased and surprised by its quality, so I recommend it effusively.
